Dafi has spent nearly 7 years in a variety of increasingly responsible roles within CFSS. She has assisted the former President & CEO in revamping both the structure and workplace environment of the Center to a more progressive work environment bringing staff together around common purposes and values. Ms. Dyer has provided the CFSS team with holistic support and needed resources to ensure quality service to members of the community. In addition, she has been an integral part of grant planning, submission, and implementation of successful programs.
Prior to her time at CFSS, Dafi worked as Project Manager for the I Will Not Die Young Campaign yearlong pilot project facilitated by locals, Kwabena “Antoine” Nixon & Muhibb Dyer. This campaign provided additional support to 200 males in the 10 Milwaukee Public Middle and High Schools in the much-needed area of Social Emotional Learning and life development skills that successfully contributed to improvement in attendance, behavioral, and academic metrics. She successfully guided the project from planning and implementation through completion.
Earlier in her career, Dafi worked for the City Manager and City Clerk’s office in the City of St. Helena, CA in the heart of Napa Valley. In her role, she assisted in implementing resolutions and ordinances adopted by the City Council. She worked closely with the mayor to facilitate annual fundraising projects that included donations from local wineries and silent auctions.
Ms. Dyer, a self-proclaimed jack-of-all-trades, holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Cardinal Stritch University. She also has an Associate’s degree in Real Estate, is a Certified Mediator and a member of the National Association of Certified Mediators, and is a Certified Financial Health Coach.
Dafi is a Milwaukee Northside native and is no stranger to poverty and the struggles that accompany it. She has dedicated her life to navigating racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic barriers with an individualized approach to accessing opportunities for all members of the community.
Rochelle was born and raised in Milwaukee growing up near 28th Atkinson Street as her mother’s only child. She studied at and received her bachelor’s degree in business administration with a communications minor from the University of Milwaukee. Prior to joining CFSS, Rochelle worked for 7 plus years as a human resource assistant at Astronautics, an associate recruiter for Manpower and as an administrative assistant for the West Allis-West Milwaukee School District.
In her free time, Rochelle enjoys reading urban fiction novels and watching action packed movies. Her favorite food is hot wings and if she could travel anywhere in the world without time and money being an issue, it would be to most celebrated island in the South Pacific, Bora Bora!
Andrew initially volunteered within the Marketing and Communication Department of CFSS before joining the team full-time in 2014. He currently is part of the Administrative Team where he provides oversight to all CFSS programming and ensures quality and sustainability practices are in place as our Sustainable Solutions Specialist. Andrew graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee with his BA in Psychology with a Minor in Criminal Justice.
Tanya is part of the team dedicated to supporting members who are transitioning from confinement to the community. Previously, Tanya worked as the Healthy Marriage Career and Employment Manager, as well as Skills Enhancement and Career Readiness Facilitator with YWCA of Southeast Wisconsin – formerly YWCA of Greater Milwaukee. She was also a High School Tutor with Mainstream Development Education Group and received both her Bachelor’s and Masters of Science in Speech Communication & Theatre Arts from the Arkansas State University.
