Being in love with helping others her whole life, LaKesha joined the CFSS team and brought a wealth of knowledge and experience along with her. LaKesha leads a team that is dedicated to supporting individuals who are transitioning from confinement to the community as well strengthening families. Prior to her current position, LaKesha previously worked with individuals both pre and post release in the Wisconsin Department of Corrections System. LaKesha has worked as the Lead CCT/DSE Monitor at ATTIC Correctional Services for their 980 program for sexually violent sex offenders. She also worked as an SSI Advocate with the Bureau of Milwaukee Child Welfare. She has spent time with Children’s Service Society of Wisconsin as a Family Support Specialist where she advocated and worked endlessly assisting parents with meeting court requirements for child reunification. She holds a degree in Management in Criminal Justice from Concordia University and has also received various AODA certifications from the Minority Counselor Training Institute in Milwaukee and is pursuing her Master’s in Professional Counseling from Concordia University. LaKesha is dedicated to building strong families and communities. She has served as an educator, motivator, and initiative leader mobilizing fund and program development efforts.
