Since 2005, CFSS has been providing adolescent pregnancy prevention education to individuals who are economically disadvantaged and at higher risk for negative relationship outcomes. CFSS teen pregnancy prevention education provides young adolescents with the knowledge, confidence and skills necessary to reduce their risk of STDs, HIV and pregnancy by abstaining from sex or using condoms if they choose to have sex. Our programs also incorporate sexual violence prevention education for age-appropriate audiences.
We use proven techniques in community and school-based classrooms to teach youth in middle schools and high schools how to avoid sexually risky behavior and unplanned pregnancies. Our age-appropriate and medically accurate curricula provide youth with basic skills needed to help delay sexual relationships, and to help them understand the importance of using contraceptives if sexually active.
