CFSS Names New Chief Executive Officer, Carl Wesley, Jr.

The Board of Directors for the Center of Self-Sufficiency announced on January 6 that after an extensive search and screening process, Milwaukee-native Carl Wesley, Jr., has been named the new president and CEO, effective January 20, 2015.

Carl returns to Milwaukee after serving in increasingly responsible roles at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is currently the assistant director of P.E.O.P.L.E. (Pre-college Enrichment Opportunity Program for Learning Excellence) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Carl has a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice and two Master’s degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. He is also currently working towards a doctorate degree at Edgewood College.

“The Center will continue to provide outstanding evidence-based programming and services under Carl’s leadership. He has the background, qualifications and experience to expand the Center’s activities and improve the lives of those we serve,” said William Sulton, Chair of the Center’s Board of Directors.
